Seeing the Benefits of 25

Everyone I know who is over the age of 30 tells me that it’s the best time of their life. For the record, I’m not sure I believe that. Part of me thinks they may just be saying that because they don’t have much of a choice.

Today I realized the first benefit of being 25. Not only am I able to rent a car without paying through the nose in rental fees, but I also still qualify for the discounted student airfare prices. Problem is that once I turn 26 :gasp: I will be too old to get that discount airfare. I guess 25 is just that happy medium where I can straddle the best of both worlds.

In other news, friends and family have accepted the second coming of my vagabond lifestyle with an open mind. Some people don’t think I can do it, other people wouldn’t have expected anything less. To those of you that don’t think I can handle some time on the road, disconnected from commitment and sprouting a new adventure daily: you clearly don’t know me.

Should be an interesting year.
