Finally Turned 25

Yes, I’m now one of those people, you know, the people who are over that quarter of a¬†century¬†mark in their life. I’ve been dreading this day for quite some time, as most of you know. Some of you were kind enough to talk me off the ledge and then the rest of you must have forgotten about the anxiety that comes with turning 25.

Age is one of those things that you can’t control, but that’s not from a lack of trying. I pretty much try to control every aspect of my life. You could argue that it’s a character flaw but I view it as a personality asset.

This last year in review has been fairly calm. In June of 2009 I made the move to Los Angeles and quite¬†appropriately, today I’ve committed myself to leave Los Angeles part-time. I’ve given up my lease in downtown LA in favor of a part-time life on the road. I’ll be back, of course. I plan to spend at least two weeks per month in Los Angeles/Palm Spring, another week in Milwaukee/Chicago and then the last week in a new city every month. It’s time for a new adventure to begin.

To all those who sent birthday wishes: thank you. I know that my name comes up on Facebook with a reminder that it’s my birthday but I’m just going to pretend that you all knew that July 8th was my day even without looking at Facebook.

All that being said, maybe I’ll see you in your city sometime soon. If you’re willing to put me up for a week I can grocery shop, clean and entertain. I’ll cook but you probably won’t like it. Hit me up if you’re interested in seeing me.

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes!

What do you mean that if you cook people probably won’t like it? As long as you don’t have a crock pot you cook great!
