The Foods I’m Not Allowed to Eat

Today is D-Day. I’m embarking on a week long raw vegan diet. It started with a joke but has turned into a personal challenge for yours truly. I’ve stuffed my face the last 24 hours with as much bacon and refined sugar as possible and now I’m going to pay for it during these next seven days.

To give you an idea of what a depressing life raw vegans live, here’s a list of foods I’m not allowed to eat:

  • Bacon
  • Doughnuts
  • Kool-aid
  • Beer
  • Burritos
  • Cheeseburgers (with or without bacon)
  • Cake
  • Ice cream
  • High fructose corn¬†syrup
  • Cheese
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Hot dogs

Unfortunately, the list goes on for another 93 miles or so. The general rule here is that if it’s delicious then I’m not allowed to indulge myself. This leaves me to graze on such lame forms of¬†nutrition¬†such as raw¬†broccoli¬†and peanuts. As much as I hate them, I’m not even allowed to eat eggs which means that my own dog will be eating better than me this week. I always thought that as humans we had a law against¬†travesties¬†such as this.

Not even sure if my body will be able to sustain itself for seven complete days. I may even lose another belt notch.

dont bash raw brocholi. it can be really good with ranch. are you allowed to eat ranch this week? hmmmm… well if your looking for some yummy vegan stuff i betcha you can find some on food.com :) good luck!

    • Not bashing raw broccoli, just wish there was some more flavor to it is all. I've been at this for 14 hours now and I'm starving. Nothing I eat seems to fill me up!

  • This makes me laugh so hard. As I read your list of forbidden foods, I realized that most of them have no regular part of my diet anyway. Good luck to you!

I suggest before and after pics, happy vs. cranky.

    • I don't think I've ever been this cranky before. Fired a contractor last night and brought Simon over to deal with Chevy. This is going to be a very long week.

Best wishes and best of luck on succeeding on this week long "trial"

  • Thanks! You know what would really help make this week easier? A bacon cheeseburger.

should I overnight you some Culver's when this is all over?
