Think you have some rough relatives to deal with over the New Year? Apparently you’ve got nothing on this Sicilian man.

He wanted to get arrested so that he wouldn’t be forced to spend the New Year with his family. Apparently a solitary jail cell sounded more peaceful. When the police refused to place him in jail he just walked next door and threatened the clerk with a box cutter before calmly waiting for the police to come over and arrest him.
Problem solved.
