New Orange Shoes Have Cometh

New Orange Shoes
It’s about f-ing time. My stinky worn out but yet still beautiful orange shoes have finally been replaced. Sure, they may be a 1/2 size too small and I’m going to have to cut the threads for the spikes off the bottom but they’ve still got that new shoe smell and that blaze orange shine. Almost reflective. I’m sure they would pass DOT requirements for highway safety gear.
I don’t think I’ll actually be able to replace the old pair. After all, they did travel the world with me. It would be like cutting off my left hand. Just doesn’t seem like a good idea. That being said, I think they only have a couple hundred miles left in them so I’ll need to be extra picky when I decide to wear them.
The store that I managed to find these two beautiful pieces of PUMA creation is the last place online that still sells them. I’ll need to call first thing in the morning and confirm exactly how many pairs of shoes they have left. If it’s a reasonable number, maybe less than 25 or 30, I’ll just have to buy them out. No way am I going to go through the trauma and fear that I was forced to endure this last year as I watched my shoes wear thin. If you could buy replacement left hands for $32.95, wouldn’t you?
Today is the day that I can be sure that I’m never going to be orange shoeless again.
