Trucker or Backpacker?

This is going to seem a little off topic at first but just bear with me. If you haven’t noticed, I redesigned my blog (again). In the process of giving it a face-lift I also went through each post I’ve ever written and did the little things like spell check and corrected some formatting mistakes. The problem with this is that I was forced to read everything I’d written and I can to a conclusion: I was a whole lot happier when I was traveling. I was constantly meeting new people, visiting new cities and trying new foods. I’m not even going to get into the beer because that’s a post all on its own.

My point here is that when I’m done here in LA I think it would probably be a good idea to pick my backpack back up and check out another corner of the world. That, or I could try being a trucker for a year. It’s kinda like backpacking in the USA but with a truck instead of a pair of orange shoes. If I worked for Schneider I could get an orange truck so it would kinda be a wash.

I mentioned this to Felicia a while ago and she just laughed but I’m serious. Maybe being a trucker is my next calling. I wouldn’t want to do it for too long though. You never know when a better idea might come along.

Anyone who knows anything about me understands that my ideas change on an hourly basis so maybe this entire thinking process is useless. Who knows when I’ll be done with LA. Maybe by that time I’ll be walking with a cane and have a long white beard.
