Night Out with Belgian Beer
As I write this I am sucking down chocolate and water as fast as possible in the hopes of curing my headache.
After my multi-city adventure, my meeting and of course a quick nap I joined up with two English guys for a night on the town. Keep in mind that I already had nearly a liter and a half starting at 11:00 am this morning.
We started the night with the absinthe bar. I never much cared for anything that tastes like black licorice. I guess it’s an acquired thing.
From there we went across the street to a bar call Delerium. At the time of this writing they hold the Guiness record for the most beer commercially available with 2004 selections. It started off slow but soon heated up. Each of us would take turns buying rounds. We would simply ask the bartender for three different random beers. This way, none of us had the same beer all night. It was brilliant. This went on for a good 5 hours. By the time we left the bar I was doing okay with the walking thing but Mitch was having some issues.
A short walk, a few poses and a drunken phone call later we managed to make it back to the hostel.

I saw them both in the morning and they seemed to be doing okay. Belgian beer is quite amazing. Most linger in the range of 6% – 12% but taste amazing. It’s like you don’t even notice you’re drinking.
