I Met Elmo!
So I finally found the bar with 20 minutes till the end of happy hour. Ask Billy and he’ll tell you I was getting pretty stressed out. I’m still happy to report that I managed to get 3 pints in before happy hour ended. Thankfully! Then I figured out how much money I saved on those beers and decided that since it was free money I might as well spend it on more beer.
I was walking back to my hostel to take a shower and get ready for a night out when I passed Elmo! He was just chilling there on the sidewalk. Yep, the real Elmo. I tried to tickle him but he didn’t think it was that funny. I settled for a picture with him instead. We got to chatting and I found out that the Elmo we all love or hate is actually a paralegal making some extra money on the side. From the looks of his money case on the ground he wasn’t doing too bad. In case you were wondering he said he got the Elmo suit on eBay.
I offered to buy him a beer but he turned me down. Who wouldn’t want to go out drinking with Elmo?
