Relaxing in San Diego

Ahh how I do love San Diego. Unfortunately it’s not quite beach weather here (60′s) but it’s much warmer than Milwaukee. I’ve just been hanging out. I took a long walk through downtown today trying to find a beach but ended up getting mixed up in Little Germany. On the way back I was going to take a walk through the USS Midway but it was $15. Who the hell needs to pay $15 to walk through a boat. I could think of better ways to spend my money, time for lunch.

I found a bar called the Yard House. They have over 150 beers on tap. I had the most delicious, heart-stopping burger with a yard of Newcastle. They even have two happy hours! I’ll be heading back there.

Apparently Milwaukee beer is really big here in San Diego. I didn’t even know that Pabst made a genuine draft, but they carry it here. They also have all the Leinenkugels, Sprecher, Miller, Point, Beast, etc. Anything that you can get in Wisconsin you can get in San Diego. Too bad it doesn’t taste as fresh.

Thus far San Diego has been pretty chill. Ironically my friends here left town the day I got in. Seems very similar to San Francisco. I’m starting to pick up on this pattern…

A couple more days here and then off to LA so I can catch my flight to Fiji. It’ll be so nice to lay in the sun and try my hand at surfing again!
