More of the Same Thing
Australia is pretty cool, I mean that, but I’m starting to get bored. First I wake up, make some toast with Nutella or peanut butter and sit down with some mango juice. I run over to the internet cafe and spend loads of money checking my email in an effort to keep up with business. Around noon I head to the beach where I relax for 4 or 5 hours and try to clear my head. Then I head back, take a much needed shower and prepare dinner. Dinner generally consists of whatever is on sale at the grocery store or else I try to make friends with someone in the kitchen cooking up something tasty. I grab a few beers and head back to the beach or pool to chill with some friends until I go to bed. It’s time for something new. Thankfully I’m going diving in 2 days!
I think I’ve learned how to talk like a real Aussie. Basically I just don’t move my tongue when I speak. It sounded a little weird at first but the locals seem to be able to understand me.
After diving I decided to head down to Sydney for about a week. Sure, it’ll be chilly in the 60′s but I really should swing by and see it before I leave. Australia is pretty cool, but I really don’t think I’ll be coming back to the east coast here. Just more of the same cities and not much to get excited about. However, the unexplored outback is definitely on my list for a return visit. Only then I’ll probably need to allow myself about 6 months to really get into it.
Okay, I’m overdue for the beach so I should really get going before my tan starts to fade.
