I Need a Drink

I just finished my first day in the pool and WOW, I’m ready for a gimlet. Fuck the beer and bring me some vodka. It was a lot of fun though. We did classroom stuff from about 8 AM to 11 AM and then took 30 minutes for lunch. We hopped in the pool around 11:30 and didn’t get out until 5:30! I’m exhausted but it feels so good. Apparently I haven’t been exerting myself enough the last 2 months.

I called to ask the closing department for a general dollar amount of money that I would receive after the commission and closing fees came off the purchase price. She left me two different voice mails today each just over two minutes long. I think the cheese slid off her cracker. In over four minutes of messages she managed to simply tell me that she can’t get me a dollar amount until she knows what my mortgage balance is. Huh? I admit, I’m not the best when it comes to math and granted I was a banker for almost four years, it’s certainly didn’t have anything to do with mortgages. Even so, I feel pretty confident that the balance of my loans has absolutely nothing to do with the amount they’ll be taking in commissions. Maybe I’m just missing something or maybe she’s just been doing this too long. Either way, I called my realtor and she was able to kick ass and get me some answers. Kim, if you’re reading this – thank you.

Tonight is the last night I can really get drunk in Cairns. I need to be up by 7:00 tomorrow but that’s not too bad consider the following day I need to be up at 5:00. It’s about time to head and out and toss a few back. I’ll take some pictures of sea turtles for ya’ll!
