Spokane Washington
I finally had the opportunity to meet Billy’s fiance Felicia. She seems like she’ll fit into the family great!
While waiting in the airport bar for Felicia Billy and I ran into some old drunk guy who claimed to be a “Navy Seal Army Ranger”. He was pretty much a joke as he told us about all the people he shot and his time in Panama. Not that he ever had a chance, but he really blew it when he went on about getting shot in the ass as he was running home. Wasn’t there a movie about that? He had to fly out to the Middle East at 0400 so he didn’t stick around long. I hope he found his next rum and coke without a problem.
We spent a little time in Spokane seeing what there is to see of the city before we got ready for St. Patricks. If you grew up in Milwaukee and never been to Spokane Washington I’ll confirm this for you right now: they are definately lacking bars. It took us almost 4 blocks downtown to find a bar. It was a pretty good time once we got through the disgusting warm shots. Oh, they had a mechanical bull. Ya, we all took a turn. It pretty much rocked. After we kinda got kicked out we went home and crashed.
The next day Felicia had this idea to go to Idaho and see some lake. Per Felicia, it’s the only lake where the tide actually comes in. Thankfully we were there during low tide… It seemed relaxing so we went along with it. After picking up the most amazing pizza at this place called Pizza Schmizza we headed to the lake. We skipped rocks for an hour or so and then Billy threw a boulder into the lake. We could still see it sticking up so I decided to build an entire island. 3 hours later it was done. We even found a plastic army guy to inhabit the new island. Billy got hit with a few stones, fell in the lake, I got pretty wet and Felicia had a ton of fun.
Tonight we’re making brats on the grill and taking it easy. Back to Tacoma tomorrow and then off to San Francisco!
